Engaged

It was our 5 year anniversary and we hadn’t planned anything since the Fall had been super busy for us.

Mike had the idea of heading over to Mill Valley for brunch and to hike around Mt. Tam, maybe hit up some mini golf, batting cages, and the Jelly Belly Factory (my kind of day). Sounded like a plan!

We ate at Molinari’s which was awesome and we highly suggest it if you make it to the Bay Area to visit us sometime!  After, we needed to work off all the decadence and drove up Mt. Tam to get some fresh air and exercise.

We hiked up to the fire tower and checked out the grand view of San Francisco. While taking in the views, Mike got a couple to take our photo, which I was really surprised about since he dislikes couples photos. He gave my phone to the girl and asked if she could take a couple photos and gave his phone to the guy and told him to take a video (see above). I was pretty oblivious to what was going on and was just cheesing and taking photos as I usually do. Then Mike pulled away and pulled out a box and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. I was shocked and speechless - hearing those words come out of Mike’s mouth! So awesome! We were both shaking, smiling and beaming. I couldn’t stop smiling after that! He got me a beautiful silver Infinity ring from Tiffany’s so he had something to propose with, and suggested we go together to pick out something a little more sparkly since that's a big decision, and he wanted to get it right. SO very thoughtful and perfect!

Then we celebrated by playing some mini golf while we broke the news to our friends and family. Nobody tells you the jolt of adrenaline that courses through you after you get engaged to your person. I want to get engaged everyday!
